Dairy Farmers of Canada Broke a Guinness™ World Record with the Largest Smoothie Ever Made!

Dairy Farmers of Canada:  To generate excitement as well as communicate key messages about the 100% Canadian Milk symbol, DFC organized a one-day event in downtown Toronto on July 8th, 2010 to break the world record for the largest smoothie ever made!

On July 27th, 2006 franchise company Booster Juice broke the world record with a 681.92-litre smoothie.  DFC broke the record by a significant difference and
created a 1,000-litre smoothie or 264 gallons.  Two judges (adjudicators) from the Guinness™ World Records (GWR) were on-site to evaluate the record
attempt, and presented DFC with the famous Guinness™ World Records Certificate instantly – our record was verified and confirmed officially on site.

Thanks to some wonderful processors, our 100% Canadian Milk Bust-a-Record Dairy Day was an immense success!  Parmalat in Ontario graciously supplied the 550L of milk and the 150L of yogurt for the smoothie; Honey Bunny Inc. from Alberta supplied the wonderful 35L of honey, which was part of the smoothie preparation; MOOV, a Quebec based company, provided 300kg of blueberries from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean; while Ontario’s Moonstone Mechanical provided the giant stainless steel mixer in which the All Canadian Blueberry Smoothie was prepared.
